.NET User Group Xmas Party

So last Thursday we had our Christmas party for the Nashville .NET User Group. We had about 25 people show up, mostly regulars and officers, but a few new faces too. The location of choice was the Italian Market which was awesome. They have a great little back room which was just about right for 20 to 25 people and a great spread of food. Pricing was great for what we got and I think it would be a great place for a summer get together especially with the bocce ball courts in the back.

My wife attended and hung in there as long as she could with the geek speak, then elegantly excused herself. Later in the evening with only a few regulars in attendance, someone broke out the Absinthe and Scott Walters and I broke out the guitars. And man can Scott play!

All in all it was a great time and I thank everyone who attended.

Team Foundation Server 2008 Tools and Plug Ins

Conchango decided to go ahead and release the beta for the 2.0 release of their TFS Scrum Project Template. This version works with TFS 2008 and has many new features. Unfortunately my first attempt to install it failed, but I think it because I tried it on the TFS 2008 CTP virtual PC image.

The beta for the MSBuild Sidekick 2.0 has also been released. It has many more visual tools to help you create custom builds scripts.

Hopefully I will more info on these as I use them over the next few weeks.
